Rob has over 40 years of experience in the construction and engineering industry, starting in 1981 and as the seasoned Managing Member is known for delivering his projects, according to the requirements of the quadruple constraints.
Holding an MBA in Project & Quality Management and a BSc in Construction Management, along with certification as a Lead Auditor for ISO 9001, he provides a strong educational background complimented by practical expertise. His expertise includes overseeing site supervision, quality control, and stakeholder reporting for tailings storage facilities, ensuring alignment with design, specifications, and standards.
Rob has a proven track record of successfully delivering multiple projects, managing scope, schedule, budget, and risks while collaborating with clients, contractors, and consultants. With a strategic mindset and results-oriented approach, he has managed quality surveillance functions across diverse construction projects. He has skills to foster a culture of excellence and collaboration, and is dedicated to empowering quality surveillance teams for organizational success.
Rob is the Founder and Director of OP&G (Pty) Ltd which is based in Pretoria, South Africa. His particular areas of interest and expertise include Project & Quality Management relating to civil and building projects and adding value to installation of pre-cast concrete products and geo-synthetic liners.
Rob has been involved in tailing storage facilities, hydroelectric projects in South Africa, Afghanistan, Democratic Republic of Congo and Guinea.
Rob and OP&G have engaged with various local and international organisations, WBH&O, Steffanutti Stocks, Grinaker LTA, Murray & Roberts and Group 5 and delivered on various prestigious projects.
